24/01/11 - Frame

The builders have started to put the frame together for the downstairs section.
Very exciting!

Hallway to downstairs toilet and laundry

MY tv room....MINE!

Kitchen Pantry on left and
hole for double hung window on right

One slight problem...I think the concrete is meant
to go right to the edge of the frame!  Woops!

Thankfully, this has now been fixed.  The next day the concretors
were on-site pouring more concrete so that it goes to the edge!

22/01/11 - Plumbing

Not very exciting but I want to record where the pipes are so that we don't hit them when landscaping later on.

15/1/11 - Tile Selections

We had to select our tiles from Beaumont Tiles @ Warners Bay.  The selection was pretty good, we upgraded a little though because the basic feature tiles weren't that good.

Front Porch
Savvy Charcoal (400x400)

Kitchen splashack
Glass 300mm x 300mm
Pax Latte with white grout

Laundry & Downstairs toilet
Floor - Todi Putty (340x340)
Walls - Sequenza White Gloss (400x300)
Feature - Listello Stripes Hemp (100x300)

Main bathroom (boys bathroom) & Upstairs toilet
Floor - Luxe Anthracite (330x330)
Walls - Sequenza White Gloss (400x300)
Feature - Listello Stripes Charcoal (100x300)

Ensuite
Floor - Limestone Bone Gloss (330x300)
Walls - Sequenza White Gloss (400x300)
Feature - Listello Stripes Mocha (100x300)

Colours are not exact due to lighting and my camera but you get the idea.
The feature tiles are actually 100x300 and will be laid vertically in the showers and horizontally between vanity and mirror in each bathroom/toilet.
The feature tiles will also be laid in the "niche's" in the showers. They are 300x300 tiles for the niches.

Told my Mum we were having orange!
She said "are you living in the 70's or what!"
No, I was just joking Mum!

12/01/11 - SLAB (concrete not beer!)

The slab that we were hoping to have before Christmas has been poured today!
The boys were on-site this morning pouring the footings for the garage and the waffle pod slab for the back section of the house.

Concrete is not even dry and Huxley have sent the bill! Hahaha :)

09/01/11 - Footings and Plumbing

This is the plumbing for the kitchen sink

This is the plumbing for the laundry and downstairs toilet

These are the footings dug for the garage

20/12/10 - Gravel, Port-a-loo & Fences

A load of gravel has been delivered to the top of the driveway.

A lovely Port-a-loo has also arrived.

We have a silt fence

and we have a perimeter safety fence.
It's all systems go!
(even though the builder has not contacted us yet)
