22/10/10 - COLOUR SELECTION

Ahhh, what a day.  We travelled to Sydney to meet the Kitchen guy @ 9.30am (we were late...got lost).  We picked cupboards, drawers, handles, etc etc.  It took 2.5hours!  Then we drove to Baulkham Hills to meet the Interior Designer.  We picked taps, toilets, doors, paint, lights, shower screens and went over everything!  We didn't leave til 6.20pm!  What a massive day.  And I still have a few changes to make!

21/10/10 - We have PEGS!

They have put 4 lovely red and white pegs on the block!  Not very exciting but at least it's a step in the right direction!

11/10/10 - Our Land is CLEARED

The earth-moving company arrived this morning to clear the block.  Shane had already cut most of the trees down but they knocked over the largest tree and pulled all the stumps out.  Now we are ready for the house to be pegged out!

01/10/10 - Our Land

Hi!  We thought we would attempt to share the journey that will be

 "Building our new home!" with family and friends. 

So here goes...

We bought the land (finally) in March 2010. It's a battleaxe block with plenty of room for the kids to run around.  It slopes downwards so we are building a split level home.  

After looking around for a home for a few months we found a Huxley home that we really liked. We have made a few changes to their plan to make it our own.

Plans have been approved with no problems and hopefully building will start shortly!  We are very excited!
